Postgraduate Education at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is offered for clinical observers, clinical fellows, research fellows, and residents in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

We offer clinical observerships to university graduates in medicine for a period of 1-3 months.

Please note that clinical observers are not allowed to do any practical work with patients, but are only allowed to observe the clinical activities at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Also, the Medical University of Vienna is not responsible for any costs or organization for your stay in Vienna.

Please note that the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology can accept clinical obervers only if they meet the following additional conditions:

  • Established research, education or clinical cooperation between the home department of the clinical observer and the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Medical University of Vienna
  • Good command of the English or German language (at least at level B1)

At first, clinical observerships are offered for a qualifying period of 2 weeks. After the qualifying period we will decide if you can continue the clinical observership.
